Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC), commonly known as the morning-after pill, is available for discreet purchase without a prescription at all Ascent Pharmacy locations. We offer both Levonelle and EllaOne, two widely recognized options.

Service Availability and Eligibility

In certain regions, some of our pharmacies provide EHC free of charge, subject to local authority funding availability. Service eligibility and availability may vary depending on your area.

Effectiveness and Timing

Emergency Hormonal Contraception is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse. Levonelle can be taken up to 72 hours after, while EllaOne can be effective up to 120 hours (5 days) later.

Consultation and Confidentiality

Your consultation for the morning-after pill will take place in our private consultation areas to ensure patient confidentiality. Our pharmacists will discuss your concerns and assess your suitability for EHC. If necessary, they will refer you to a GP or Family Planning Clinic for further assistance.
